With Joel Cannatella, local musicians can expect more than just a music video. They get a partner who understands the importance of storytelling and artistic vision. By involving musicians in every step of the creative process, from concept development to post-production, the final product will be a true reflection of their artistry, building deeper connections with their fans.

What You Get

Pre-Production

• Creative Brief: This is a short document that tells you what I think would be the best creative approach to making your song come to life visually.

• Script: Once we have decided on a brief that you feel tells your story in the best way possible, I will then write a full script that will expand on the brief to outline the whole production.

• Shot List: This is a list of all the shots I need to get in order to tell the story in the best way possible.

• Location List: Once we have the script, we need a place to shoot. I will source the best locations for your music video and deliver a list with locations and pictures.

• Wardrobe List: When it comes to scripted videos like short films and music videos, every detail is important. We will decide on what kind of clothing you want (style, fabric, colour). If you don’t own the clothes I will source them and make sure that the look that we are going for is met.

• Prop List: Other than instruments that you already have, all of the props will live here.

  Production

• Gear: My extensive collection of professional filmmaking equipment is available to the production.

• Collaborators: I have a lot of great contacts of amazing filmmakers who I can bring to any project if needed.

• Re-Shoots: If needed, we will shoot scenes again if the quality does not meet either of our standards.

Post-Production

• Rough Cut: This is the first cut of the film you will see. This is where we can make sure that the edit is going in the right direction.

• Fine Cut: This is a near-perfect cut of the film where you can suggest any changes before the final delivery of the music video.

• Final Cut: This is the last cut you will be given. At this point, all suggestions have been made and acted on. This is now your video to post and share.

• Film Festivals & Music Video Competitions: If you choose, we can submit your music video to film festivals and music video competitions.
